Are you planning to travel Bhutan? Then you need to take Bhutan visa. Bhutan visa process may appear complicated but it is easy when you really try to get Bhutan visa. No foreign mission grants Bhutan tourist visa. Bhutan Visa has different process then other country. Bhutan Tourist visa must be applied in advance through a tour operator before you travel to Bhutan and receive approval before your visit to Bhutan. Bhutan visa process takes weeks. Bhutan Visas has to be approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The tour operator submits the visa application to Department of Tourism (DOT). Once approved, a copy of the Bhutan visa clearance letter will be sent to you before your travel date. It is important that tourists should have Bhutan visa clearance letter or Bhutan visa clearance number while boarding Druk air flights to Bhutan. On arrival in Bhutan, the traveler must present their passport, 2 photographs, and the fee of USD 20 + USD10 Tourism development fee which are charged together to receive the original visa sticker. Bhutan Visa has same process and documents for all nations’ passports. Indian citizen are not required Bhutan visa to travel Bhutan.

Visa for Bhutan will be given for a period of your travel in Bhutan as per your Bhutan Tour program and itinerary. Your Bhutan visa extensions can be proceeding by your tour operator.

Tourists who intend to enter into Bhutan by road through Phuntsholing Gelephu / Samdrup Jongkhar (border town in the south of Bhutan), the original Bhutan visa is stamped on arrival after submitting Bhutan visa clearance letter.
