Nepal Tibet Ebc Tour - Detailed Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1350m.)
This day will be your first day of Nepal Tibet Everest Base Camp Tour. After you arrive at Kathmandu, you will meet our representatives who transfer you to your Hotel and allow you to blend in it. Later, they give you the short descriptions of the tour. In the afternoon, you are free to rest or roam; it is upon you to decide what you want to do this day. Later, you will be going out for the typical Nepali dinner with folk dance. Tonight, you will be staying overnight in a Hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour and drive to Nagarkot (2915m.)
After your early breakfast, you will be visiting to the antique Pashupatinath Temple where you will be seeing lots of Monkeys and different specific structures and even cremation of a human dead body. After that, you will proceed to Patan to study different culture and historic phenomena and architecture and arts. Later that day, you will drive for Bhaktapur city which is approximately 14kms far, east from Kathmandu. Bhaktapur is actually known as the city of devotees and is a center of potter and fascinating masks. The prime places of Bhaktapur are Nyatapola, 55 windows, Bhairavnath Temple, Dattatreya Temple, et-cetera. You will be going to all of these places. In the Evening, you will be driving to Nagarkot and watch the beautiful sunset from up there along with the sightseeing of the world’s highest mountain. The best thing is that you can view the Mount Everest from your own Hotel where you will be spending our night.
Day 03: Nagarkot – Kathmandu – Sightseeing Tour
This day, you will be waking up pretty early to watch the beautiful sunrise. After the breakfast, you will be driving back to Kathmandu for the sightseeing of Swayambhunath Stupa and Patan city. Later that day, after lunch, you will be going for the sightseeing tour to Kathmandu Durbar Square. All the above sights are Historical which is why they are enlisted in the world heritage site by UNESCO. O/N in a Hotel.
Day 04: Fly from Kathmandu to Lhasa (3680m.)
After your breakfast, you will be driving to Tribhuvan International Airport and take our flight to Lhasa. This day is one of the most beautiful days of our Nepal Tibet Tour as you fly over stunning Mountains to Gongar Airport. Soon after you step off the plane, you will be guided by our Tibetan guide who will transfer you to your Hotel where you will be staying a night.
Day 05: Lhasa (3680m.)
It’s the perfect day for you to start our Tibet Everest base Camp Tour. After your breakfast, you will be visiting the great Jokhang Temple which is one of the famous temples in Tibet and is the summer palace of Dalai Lama. After that, you will be going to the Barkhor street and Drepung Monastery. After all the visits, you will be off to your Hotel where your night will be spent.
Day 06: Lhasa (3680m.)
The Tibet Everest Base Camp Tour is not a whole without understanding and experiencing the imperative Potala Palace. This place is a wonder of Eastern architecture and Lhasa’s basic sight of attraction. It was once home to Dalai Lama which was there since the fifth or sixth century. You will also visit the spectacular Sera Monastery this day and you will be staying in a Hotel for a sleepover.
Day 07: Lhasa (3680m.) - Gyantse (3950m.) – Shigatse (3900m.)
Today is the day as you depart for another antique city of Tibet. After your breakfast, you will be driving to Gyantse which is 261 km away from Lhasa. On the way, you can see the great Khamba La Pass and Yamdrok Lake. You will also be visiting the stunning Gyantse Khumbum which is famous for its structural designs and everything. After that, you continue your drive to Shigatse where you will be visiting the Tashilunpo Monastery (3900m.). After a long hard day, you will be sent to our Hotels where you could rest and get some sleep.
Day 08: Shigatse – Shegar (4300m.)
The view to the wasteland Plateau offers you the extraordinary amusement as you pass through the Friendship Highway. Later, you will go via Gyamtso La which will be the biggest bypass on your Trip and will go through the Plains where you will sight different itinerant herders, calm country side and isolated monasteries. Tonight, you will be staying in a Hotel for some good sleep.
Day 09: Shegar - Rongbuk - Everest Base Camp – Rongbuk (5000m.)
This day is the most stirring day to view the Mount Everest from our eye point. You will be starting our drive from Shegar to Rongbuk. After reaching Rongbuk, you can either take a bus or can even hike 8 km from Rongbuk to Everest Base Camp. After your travel to EBC, you will be back to Rongbuk to stay overnight in a Guesthouse.
Day 10: Rongbuk - Kerung (2425m.)
From Rongbuk, you will drive towards the Zhangmu viewing the wonderful sceneries of the road. You will stay the night at Zhangmu. The total distances between these two palces is 246 Km. the Zhangmu is situated at the altitude of 2300m above sea level.
Day 11: Kerung – Kathmandu (1350m.)
It is the last day of our thrilling overland Everest Base Camp Tour. After your breakfast, you start a drive from Kerung to Kathmandu. After you reach Kerung, you will be said good-bye by your Tibetan driver and guide and you meet up with our Nepali representative who will assist you with official procedures. You drive back to Kathmandu which is 5 hours drive after that. You will spend your night Hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 12: Departure
This is the end of your Nepal Tibet Everest Base Camp Tour as you are transferred to the Airstrip for your Final Departure.

Clothing and equipments
Certain basic trekking equipment is essential on all routes we described in this site. Depending on the area and season, we will provide you with a comprehensive list of necessities. Here is some recommended Equipments List for trekking in Nepal.
Lightweight walking boots. If new one is being bought, “walk then in” to avoid blisters. Also bring spare laces.
2. Track shoes
A pair of track shoes. To wear in the camp at night or when the boot is wet.
Warm jacket. Fiber fills or down should be adequate. This is especially necessary during winter from December to February. A rainproof jacket with hood or a poncho. Get the one that is guaranteed waterproof.
4. Shirt and Sweaters
Woolen shirts and thick sweaters. During winter months, December through February these items are essential. Thick sweaters can be purchased in Kathmandu. 1 lightweight long sleeved -shirt is particularly suitable for avoiding sun burn.
A pair of lightweight/ heavy weight trousers. Jeans are unsuitable to wear on treks. Cheap loose cotton pants are available in Kathmandu. Heavyweight trousers are useful higher up in the mountains in the morning and at night. Windproof/ waterproof trousers are necessary on all treks going above 10.00ft.
Thermal underwear. These are excellent to sleep in at night in the winter months thermal underwear are quite invaluable.
A tracksuit useful for wearing in camp and in the tent. 2 pair of loose fitting long shorts/ skirts.
8. Sleeping Bag
As you do not carry it yourself this may be synthetic or down, but it must be 4 season. As most treks pass through a variety of climatic conditions, a long zip is a good idea. A cotton/fleece liner helps keep your sleeping bag clean. Good sleeping bags are expensive but can be rented easily in Kathmandu (Only for treks starting and finishing there)
9. Sun Hat, SunCream/Block & Lip Salve
Choose a high factor suncream (Factor 20 or stronger) to protect your skin against the sun at high altitude. A combination sunblock/lip salve is ideal for facial protection.
10. Personal First Aid Kit
You should have your own supply of plasters, aspirin, diarrhea tablets and also a comprehensive blister kit. (Please do not give medicines to local people without consulting the trek leader.)
11. Hat/ Glove/ Sandle/ Shocks/ Underwear
a) A woolen hat to wear in the morning and at night. During winter it is an essential item.
b) A sunhat and ensure it has a wide brim to cover the face and neck.
b) A pair of gloves. Leather with lining and woolen are best. c) 1 pair of sandals to wear in the cities and in camp.
d) 4 pairs of thin and 4 pair of thick woolen socks.
e) Underwear” normal quantity and swimming costume, hankies.
Equipments and Accessories
a) Duffle bag or kit bag to carry to gear while trekking
b) Daypack: This is a small rucksack to carry personal requirement for the day e.g. toilet items, camera, film towel, soap, a boot etc.
c) Water bottle.
d) Snow glasses and sunglasses
e) 2-4 large plastic bags to separate clean clothes from dirty ones.
f) 6 -10 smaller plastic bags to dispose garbage.
g) Wallet and /or money belt with compartment for coins.
h) Toiletries with large and small towels. Toilet paper can buy in Kathmandu and some villages in the mountains.
i) Small headlamp and/ or torch with spare batteries and bulbs
j) candles and lighter to burn toilet paper.
k) Snow gaiters essential during wither and all treks going over at other times.
l) An umbrella (optional), which is quite useful to as a sunshade and useful when it rains.
m) Reading materials, camera and film, game items (optional), note book, rubber band, pen and pencil, envelopes, a diary, a calendar, a pocket knife, binoculars (optional), a small pillow or headrest (optional).
