Nepal Bhutan Tour - 12days
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu, Transfer to Hotel
This will be the first day of your tour where you will first land at Kathmandu Airport and meet with our representatives who transfer you to your Hotel. Our representatives will give you short description of the tour after you set up. After that, you will be getting some time to blend in and check stuffs in the Hotel to make sure if it is alright or not. In the afternoon, you will take some rest and later in the evening, we will be going out for Nepali dinner along with live folk dance performances. You will be back to your Hotel after everything is done and you will be off to sleep.
Day 02: Kathmandu, Tour of Pashupatinath/Patan/Bhaktapur
After your breakfast, you will be going for sightseeing of Pashupatinath Temple which is one of the most famous Temples in all over the world. There you will be gazing upon the cremation of dead body, devotees, monkeys and different other environments around the Temple. Later, you will be proceeding towards Patan to study its interesting arts and structural designs. Soon after that, you will be leaving Patan and you roam around Bhaktapur which is 4 Km, east of Kathmandu. Bhaktapur is actually re-known as the city of devotees and it is also a center of potter and fascinating façade. The prime sightseeing places in Bhaktapur are 55 windows, Nyatapola, Durbar Square, Dattatreya Temple, Bhairavnath Temple, et-cetera. After all the visits and tired-some day, you will be staying overnight in a Hotel.
Day 03: Kathmandu to Pokhara (910m/2986ft.), Overnight at Hotel
After your early breakfast, you will be driving towards Pokhara via different stunning scenery of countryside and rivers. After you reach there, you will be checking into your Hotel. In the afternoon, you will be going out for some beautiful sightseeing of Pokhara valley such as Kumbeshwor cave, Davis Fall, boating at Phewa Lake and walk around it, etc. Overnight at a Hotel.
Day 04: Fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu and start your Sightseeing Tour, Overnight at Hotel
In the early morning, you drive to Sarangkot which is approximately 30 minutes drive. There, you will be viewing the stunning sunrise along with Mountain views. After the view, you will be driving towards your Hotel and have your breakfast. After the breakfast, you will drive back to Kathmandu where you will be visiting the Swayambhunath Stupa which is also named as Monkey Temple. After the sightseeing of Swayambhunath Stupa, you will be drive to your Hotel where you will be spending your night.
Day 05: Fly Kathmandu to Paro. Meet with our Bhutanese staff at Paro airport then drive to Thimpu, Transfer to Hotel
Taking a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Paro, soon you will step off the plane and you will be escorted by your guide to Paro town for lunch. After the Lunch, you will be visiting Ta Dzong, an antique watchtower which is now a museum entitled as The National Museum. Later, you will be going to Rinpung Dzong which was built in 17th century for protections. Later that day, you will be off to Thimpu, the capital city of Bhutan where you will be staying a night in a Hotel.
Day 06: Thimpu, Tour of Thimpu Valley, Overnight at Hotel
Thimpu has a population of around 66,000 which is just made up of three lines of shops and is the only capital in the world with no Traffic Lights. In the evening, you will be visiting the Handicrafts Emporium. It is the only place in Thimpu where all types of Bhutanese handicrafts are sold and even made. O/N in a Hotel.
Day 07: Drive Thimpu to Gangtey, Overnight at Hotel
After an early breakfast, you will be driving to Gangtey with a halt at Dochula Pass (10,000 ft). You continue your drive yet again after that, where you will go through forests of magnolia and Rhododendrons for lunch to Punakha. After the lunch, you will be going to Punakha Dzong and you continue your drive to Gangtey again. The chance of staying in a Lodge is more tonight.
Day 08: Gangtey to Bumthang, Overnight at Hotel
You will be driving around the stunning gorge of Gangtey to Bumthang with a halt at Tongsa for lunch. Along this trip, you can have good views of top Himalayan ranges from Pele la Pass (3300m). You drive through thick forests and Rhododendron trees to get there. After the long hard day, you will be staying in a lodge at Bumthang stay a night there.
Day 09: Bumthang, Tour of Jampa/Kurje/Tamshing Monastery/Konchosum Lhakhang
Bumthang is the most popular and fabulous valley in Bhutan which is entitled as the heartland of Buddhism. In the morning, you walk to visit the Tamshing Monastery which is one of the oldest Monastic schools built by Terton Pema Lingpa and Kurjey Lhakhang. You will also be visiting the Jambay Lhakhang which is the oldest Temple built in 7th century. Later that day, you make a hike to Thangbi valley across the suspension bridge and visit the Thangbi Lhakhang which was built in 14th century. After the tiring day, you will be spending your night in a lodge or similar
Day 10 ] Drive Bumthang to Thimpu, Overnight at Hotel
Today, you will be driving to Thimpu which approximately takes around 7-9 hours to reach with specific halts along the way. You also make some stops for photographs and similar. On the way, you stop at Chendibji Chorten to have a Picnic lunch. You will then continue your drive again for Thimpu after that stop. O/N in a Hotel.
Day 11: From Thimpu drive to Paro, Overnight at Hotel
In the morning after an early breakfast, you will be driving to Paro for Paro Valley sightseeing. You will also visit Drugyel Dzong which is a ruined fortress that defended the gorge from Tibetan attack and from where the view of Mount Chomolhari (24000ft) is really stunning. After that, you continue your drive and on the way, you will be visiting Satsam Chorten and get a perfect sight of Taktsang Monastery. Later that day, in the afternoon, you will drive to Rinpung Dzong and the famous National Museum. Overnight in a Hotel.
Day 12: Fly Back to Kathmandu and connect your onward flight
This is the final day of your great Bhutan Culture Tour. You will be driving straight to the airstrip this day for your Final Departure. The flight back to your destination will be beautiful as you can get the closer view of the high hills from the flight.

Clothing and equipments
Certain basic trekking equipment is essential on all routes we described in this site. Depending on the area and season, we will provide you with a comprehensive list of necessities. Here is some recommended Equipments List for trekking in Nepal.
Lightweight walking boots. If new one is being bought, “walk then in” to avoid blisters. Also bring spare laces.
2. Track shoes
A pair of track shoes. To wear in the camp at night or when the boot is wet.
Warm jacket. Fiber fills or down should be adequate. This is especially necessary during winter from December to February. A rainproof jacket with hood or a poncho. Get the one that is guaranteed waterproof.
4. Shirt and Sweaters
Woolen shirts and thick sweaters. During winter months, December through February these items are essential. Thick sweaters can be purchased in Kathmandu. 1 lightweight long sleeved -shirt is particularly suitable for avoiding sun burn.
A pair of lightweight/ heavy weight trousers. Jeans are unsuitable to wear on treks. Cheap loose cotton pants are available in Kathmandu. Heavyweight trousers are useful higher up in the mountains in the morning and at night. Windproof/ waterproof trousers are necessary on all treks going above 10.00ft.
Thermal underwear. These are excellent to sleep in at night in the winter months thermal underwear are quite invaluable.
A tracksuit useful for wearing in camp and in the tent. 2 pair of loose fitting long shorts/ skirts.
8. Sleeping Bag
As you do not carry it yourself this may be synthetic or down, but it must be 4 season. As most treks pass through a variety of climatic conditions, a long zip is a good idea. A cotton/fleece liner helps keep your sleeping bag clean. Good sleeping bags are expensive but can be rented easily in Kathmandu (Only for treks starting and finishing there)
9. Sun Hat, SunCream/Block & Lip Salve
Choose a high factor suncream (Factor 20 or stronger) to protect your skin against the sun at high altitude. A combination sunblock/lip salve is ideal for facial protection.
10. Personal First Aid Kit
You should have your own supply of plasters, aspirin, diarrhea tablets and also a comprehensive blister kit. (Please do not give medicines to local people without consulting the trek leader.)
11. Hat/ Glove/ Sandle/ Shocks/ Underwear
a) A woolen hat to wear in the morning and at night. During winter it is an essential item.
b) A sunhat and ensure it has a wide brim to cover the face and neck.
b) A pair of gloves. Leather with lining and woolen are best. c) 1 pair of sandals to wear in the cities and in camp.
d) 4 pairs of thin and 4 pair of thick woolen socks.
e) Underwear” normal quantity and swimming costume, hankies.
Equipments and Accessories
a) Duffle bag or kit bag to carry to gear while trekking
b) Daypack: This is a small rucksack to carry personal requirement for the day e.g. toilet items, camera, film towel, soap, a boot etc.
c) Water bottle.
d) Snow glasses and sunglasses
e) 2-4 large plastic bags to separate clean clothes from dirty ones.
f) 6 -10 smaller plastic bags to dispose garbage.
g) Wallet and /or money belt with compartment for coins.
h) Toiletries with large and small towels. Toilet paper can buy in Kathmandu and some villages in the mountains.
i) Small headlamp and/ or torch with spare batteries and bulbs
j) candles and lighter to burn toilet paper.
k) Snow gaiters essential during wither and all treks going over at other times.
l) An umbrella (optional), which is quite useful to as a sunshade and useful when it rains.
m) Reading materials, camera and film, game items (optional), note book, rubber band, pen and pencil, envelopes, a diary, a calendar, a pocket knife, binoculars (optional), a small pillow or headrest (optional). Thermoses (optional)- an inflatable sleeping mat, trekking map, adequate quantities of passport photograph
