Everest Region Added on Google

Popular search engine Google has included the Khumbu Region of the highest peak Mount Everest on its prestigious  'Street View' service. Since Thursday,  Khumbu region is added in the Google street View Service now  you can visit Everest Region from your own home.

The Everest region is included in Google Street View service with the help of 45 thousand pictures and videos taken in this area. Most of the parts of Khumbu Region are added by Google in its Street View service, some of them are Lukla, Namche Bazar, Thame, Khumjung, Phorce and other different heritages, Google said.

Pictures and the videos of the hotels, lodges, monasteries, schools, museums, mountains, rivers, are included in the collection. Google with the collaboration of Apa Sherpa Foundation and Story Cycle added Khumbu Region in Google Street View. For this purpose, a group of 13 hikers carried a journey for 10 days with a camera on their backpack. These hikers went to the villages of Khumbu Region to capture forty five thousand pictures, including those pictures and videos Google made possible the online travel service of that region for the first time.

Google added Everest Base Camp area along with Kalapatthar on Google Maps in 2013.
