Annapurna Round Trekking Details Itinerary

Day 01 Welcome to Kathmandu
Upon arrival in Kathmandu meet our representative at the airport and transfer to hotel. Short Briefing of your Nepal Trek & Tour. Check in to the Hotel. Rest for free Afternoon. O/n at Hotel.

Day 2 Kathmandu
After Breakfast sightseeing Tour to Swayambhunath Stupa,Where you can see a lots of monkeys & beautiful view of Kathmandu Valley. This old stupa called by Monkey Temple as well. Bouddhanath Stupa, second biggest Stupa in the world & Pashupatinath Temple, famous Hindus Temple. In the afternoon prepare for Trekking. O/n at Hotel.

Day 3 Kathmandu - Bhulbhule
After Breakfast we drive to BHULBHULE through Prithivi Highway and facing the view of Marsyangdi River. (approx 6 hours drive).

Day 4 Bhulbhule - Bahundada
Today is our First day Trek. We walk to the banks of the Marsyangdi River and then follow the trail through rice paddies, Other Gurung Village Ngadi.Then we walk strais to our first day's destination Bahubdada. O/n at Trekkers lodge. (approx walk 6hrs).

Day 5 Bahundada - Jagat(1290m)
Ahead, the Marsyangdi valley forms a steep V-shape, and we follow the winding mountain path down through Syange and along the river for some distance. The trail then climbs steeply and the path is cut into the sheer cliff-face some 200-300m above the riverbed. Eventually we descend to the stone village of Jagat. (approx Trek 4 hours).

Day 6 Jagat - Dharapani (1920m)
After Breakfast we decends until it almost reaches the river and then begins to climb again through a forest. we will reach to Chyamje, which is marked by a magnificent waterfall on the opposite bank. On the way we cross the suspension bridge. We continue on an undulating path above the river. We descend to a grassy riverbank which leads to Tal with its hotels and teahouses. After Tal, the valley narrows and the path becomes high and winding. there is a bit more cliff-walking before the path drops again to the river. We cross a suspension bridge, and climb the short distance to the stone kani marking the entrance to Dharapani. [walk approx 5 hours]

Day 7 Dharapani - Chame (2630m)
As we cut through a narrow field from the village, the Dudh Khola, which originates from the south face of Manaslu, enters on the opposite bank. The Marsyangdi then veers to the left, and as Annapurna II becomes visible ahead, we arrive at Bagarchhap, You will continue to the forest of the Fir and rocky declivities with the view of the Manaslu and Annapurna II (7939m.) Chame is the capital of the Manag district situated in the bank of the river Marshyangdi Chame is the administrative headquarters for the Manang district. (walk approx 5 hours).

Day 8 Chame - Pisang (3190m)
With Lamjung Himal [6893m] sparkling in the morning sun, we set off for Pisang. A spectacular waterfall can be sighted near Brathangs village. Pisang is in the lap of the Pisang peak which is popular peak to climb.We can see the east peak of Annapurna II as well as Pisang Peak to the northeast. Continuing on, we come to a long mani wall by a bridge and the lower village of Pisang. (walk approx 5 hours)

Day 9 Pisang - Manang (3520m)
This is really wonderful trail with the pastures by the Yaks, Horses and cattle .The trail offers some magnificent sights of the top of Annapurna's After short walk from Pisang village the trail forks and one climbs to the Ngwal from where the view of the Annapurna's is wonderful.We spend the the night, amidst the fluttering prayer flags which adorn the houses. (walk approx 4 hours).

Day 10 Manang Rest Day (3520m)
Rest in Manang for acclimatization. The Himalayan Rescue Association and they brief about the High altitude, sickness and the way to be safe from the problems. The Gangapurna Lake is nice to view and one can walk around the town to explore. Mountaineering school also in Manang where the basic training of the mountaineering is given by Nepal Mountaineering Association can be visit the day.

Day 11 Manang - Ledar (4250m)
Early morning after Breakfast we trek from Manang the landscape is more like Tibetan platue It seems more gradual rather than up but hard to breathe and take longer time to cover the short distance with the magnificent Annapurna Himal in view all the way, while behind us we can see Peak 29 and Himalchuli in the distance Climbing the path past the summer village of Gunsang, we cross the Gundon Khola via a wooden bridge. We come to the small settlement of Letdar. (walk approx 3 hours).

Day 12 Ledar - Thorang Phedi (4500m)
Leaving Letdar, we climb gradually to a ridge before descending to the headwaters of the Marsyangdi and crossing via a covered wooden bridge. After a short ascent up the mountain path on the right bank, we follow a narrow trail across an unstable scree slope and then descend to Thorung Phedi. (walk approx 3 hours).

Day 13 Thorang Phedi - Muktinath (3800m)
Start the climbing early in the morning. This is the most awaited day for your Nepal trip. The top of the Thorong La (pass) 5416 m. is the highest point for the whole period. Muktinath is the name of the Hindu God with the meaning of the "God of Salvation". The Sep- Oct fest is the most interesting and crowded. Apart from this, this is the greatest example of the co-relation and harmony between Hinduism and Buddhism. (walk approx 7-8 hours).

Day 14 Muktinath – Jomsom
Early morning after worship we will have breakfast at guest house and slowly will go down on foot up to Jomsom and overnight at hotel.

Day 15 Jomsom – Pokhara
Early morning after breakfast we will fly from Jomsom to Pokhara and free afternoon in Pokhara for our own activities.

Day 16 Pokhara – Kathmandu
After breakfast we will leave into Kathmandu by drive or fly.

Day 17 Departure
We will leave into Airport for our destination.

Clothing and equipments

Certain basic trekking equipment is essential on all routes we described in this site. Depending on the area and season, we will provide you with a comprehensive list of necessities. Here is some recommended Equipments List for trekking in Nepal.

Clothing

1. Boots

Lightweight walking boots. If new one is being bought, “walk then in” to avoid blisters. Also bring spare laces.

2. Track shoes

A pair of track shoes. To wear in the camp at night or when the boot is wet.

3. Jacket

Warm jacket. Fiber fills or down should be adequate. This is especially necessary during winter from December to February. A rainproof jacket with hood or a poncho. Get the one that is guaranteed waterproof.

4. Shirt and Sweaters

Woolen shirts and thick sweaters. During winter months, December through February these items are essential. Thick sweaters can be purchased in Kathmandu. 1 lightweight long sleeved -shirt is particularly suitable for avoiding sun burn.

5. Trousers

A pair of lightweight/ heavy weight trousers. Jeans are unsuitable to wear on treks. Cheap loose cotton pants are available in Kathmandu. Heavyweight trousers are useful higher up in the mountains in the morning and at night. Windproof/ waterproof trousers are necessary on all treks going above 10.00ft.

6. Underwear

Thermal underwear. These are excellent to sleep in at night in the winter months thermal underwear are quite invaluable.

7. Tracksuit

A tracksuit useful for wearing in camp and in the tent. 2 pair of loose fitting long shorts/ skirts.

8. Sleeping Bag

As you do not carry it yourself this may be synthetic or down, but it must be 4 season. As most treks pass through a variety of climatic conditions, a long zip is a good idea. A cotton/fleece liner helps keep your sleeping bag clean. Good sleeping bags are expensive but can be rented easily in Kathmandu (Only for treks starting and finishing there)

9. Sun Hat, SunCream/Block & Lip Salve

Choose a high factor suncream (Factor 20 or stronger) to protect your skin against the sun at high altitude. A combination sunblock/lip salve is ideal for facial protection.

10. Personal First Aid Kit

You should have your own supply of plasters, aspirin, diarrhea tablets and also a comprehensive blister kit. (Please do not give medicines to local people without consulting the trek leader.)

11. Hat/ Glove/ Sandle/ Shocks/ Underwear

a) A woolen hat to wear in the morning and at night. During winter it is an essential item.
b) A sunhat and ensure it has a wide brim to cover the face and neck.
b) A pair of gloves. Leather with lining and woolen are best. c) 1 pair of sandals to wear in the cities and in camp.
d) 4 pairs of thin and 4 pair of thick woolen socks.
e) Underwear” normal quantity and swimming costume, hankies.

Equipments and Accessories

a) Duffle bag or kit bag to carry to gear while trekking
b) Daypack: This is a small rucksack to carry personal requirement for the day e.g. toilet items, camera, film towel, soap, a boot etc.
c) Water bottle.
d) Snow glasses and sunglasses
e) 2-4 large plastic bags to separate clean clothes from dirty ones.
f) 6 -10 smaller plastic bags to dispose garbage.
g) Wallet and /or money belt with compartment for coins.
h) Toiletries with large and small towels. Toilet paper can buy in Kathmandu and some villages in the mountains.
i) Small headlamp and/ or torch with spare batteries and bulbs
j) candles and lighter to burn toilet paper.
k) Snow gaiters essential during wither and all treks going over at other times.
l) An umbrella (optional), which is quite useful to as a sunshade and useful when it rains.
m) Reading materials, camera and film, game items (optional), note book, rubber band, pen and pencil, envelopes, a diary, a calendar, a pocket knife, binoculars (optional), a small pillow or headrest (optional). Thermoses (optional)- an inflatable sleeping mat, trekking map, adequate quantities of passport photograph
